I don’t quite have a favorite superhero, there are so many. Superheroes have qualities such as: unprecedented strength, the ability to keep secrets (mainly to hide their identity), and to do no evil. Each individual superhero has their own personal qualities, but each is very similar.
A hero is someone you look up to, like a role model. They are someone you count on to be there for you when you’re in danger or in need of comfort. A hero is a person who, to you, doesn’t seem to do anything wrong, but does everything right.
So far Beowulf is pretty easy to understand. He’s a hero that a town of people seem to put a lot of pressure on to keep them safe. He fights his nemesis’s to make sure that his townfolk aren’t harmed, but gets harmed in the process.
Some of my reading strategies are to listen carefully while others are reading the story, to listen to the teacher when she is talking about the story, to read the side notes/definitions if I don’t understand something, then possibly look the story up online if I still don’t understand. I basically just try to focus all my attention on the story so that I don’t get confused.
